The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a full-time Field Project Manager to join our team. The Field PM will collaborate with other members of the project management team to manage office furniture projects from initial site visit through installation. In this role. You will take the lead on all field-related tasks to ensure a project is successful. The ideal candidate will have a "roll-up sleeves" approach to Project Management and be the eyes and ears on-site while a project is going on. Work to resolve problems at the job-site and keep things on track.

This role is based in our Los Angeles office and requires local travel to client installation sites.

Position Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Client/design firm interface
  • Maintain G.P.% and G.P. $'s on all orders within the range established by the company
  • Provide scope of work to installers and obtain labor quotes during the proposal phase
  • Field site assessment
  • Mark floor cores
  • Meet with GC, electrician, data and installation technicians
  • Work with warehouse logistics and manage the coordination of product receipt
  • Coordination of installation schedule in partnership with Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and client
  • Maintain overall status reports
  • Prepare pull lists and confirm inventory is available
  • Oversee the installation and manage install crews to ensure a high-quality installation that is on time and on budget
  • Oversee punch list walkthrough with client/architect
  • Generate punch list report
  • Take lead responsibility in resolving punch list and warranty issues
  • Maintain product knowledge and knowledge of installation methods

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Attend construction meetings with Project Manager as needed
Position Requirements
  • A valid driver's license
  • Commercial furniture installation and/or account management experience
  • Working knowledge of Knoll Systems a major plus
  • Ability to build relationships inside and outside the organization
  • Presents well as a representative of the company's professional brand
  • Open communication, good follow-up and an adequate sense of urgency
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
